This artwork represents the appreciation of the small things in life.
The references I used to create this piece were photos of items I found around my art teacher's, Mrs. Thomas', classroom. Her classroom is one of my favorite environmental settings to be able to create artwork, with the additional combination of being surrounded by people with common interest, builds an atmosphere that helps me thrive.
We tend to forget the little things, for example, Mrs. Thomas' lamp in the corner of her room, with a skull, and as well as a clock.
Although these are what seem like random items, I find them significant in her classroom where those items were present when laughter filled the room.
I know when I glance at this painting, I will always remember that thriving environment filled with memories and laughter in that classroom that I will reminisce.
